d the Airline customers who are bought Boeing commercial airplanes. That was up to August 1st, 2008 when I retired from Boeing. After leaving active duty in 1986, my Navy career continued in the Reserve component including several assignments as Executive Officer or Commanding officer of different Navy Units and I changed designator from Surface Warfare Officer to Public Affairs. For my last real assingment, I was assigned to United States Northern Command/NORAD in Colorado Springs Colorado. Finally on August 1st 2006, I retired from the United States Navy after 25 years of proud service. I retired from the Boeing Company in August 2008 and after a long road trip with my mother to visit friends and relatives covering a dozen states and about 5000 miles I finished preparations for a real adventure. I left Oct. 30, 2008 on a 9 month, around the world trip. I visitied 20 countries and returned home in August 2009. After that I slowed down a little, until August 2010 when I left on a 4+ month circle Pacific trip. I visited Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia and the Philippines. The trip included 3 months in a van driving around Australia, I covered over 23,000 kilometers. Now I am recouperating from Knee replacement surgery but am making big plans for more adventures when that heals. Enjoy the Journey
