Scott's Story
Life
Short version: Much happiness, married since 1992 with two cool kids, lots of fun jobs, currently living in London.
Longer version: Married to Andrea Gallagher since 1992, our son Karl is nearly six, our daughter Evelyn is just one. Living in London for the past three years, where I've mostly been Mr. Mom and done some work with a couple of startup businesses as technology lead.
Andrea is a director at an Internet consultancy here, specializing in user experience design and information architecture.
I started out as an engineer, spent 5 years designing, building, testing the Mars Observer Camera, which has taken about 150,000 pictures from its Mars orbit since 1996.

7 years or so, ending as VP-Engineering for petstore.com which did great stuff until our primary investor shut us down months before the end of the tech boom. Now I mostly consult, helping engineering and technology organizations achieve their goals, or working with startups helping them define and execute their technology plans.
Prior to London, we were in the SF Bay area and we'll probably move back there when we want to leave London and return to the States.
I still do a bit of running, and I'll be in the 2004 London Marathon - my first marathon ever.
And I drive and fix old cars - I've got a '69 BMW and a '61 Porsche in storage back in California (but no car at all here in London!). Matter of fact, I've never owned a car newer than 1979, though my wife has :^)
