Scott's Story
Life
After graduating from Karns, I attended UT where I obtained a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. I joined the Navy prior to my senior year, and after completing my degree, attended Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI, where I was commissioned as an Ensign in 1989. After nuclear and submarine training, I reported to my first boat, the USS Whale in Groton, CT. r the commissioning of the Nebraska, the ship changed homeport to Kings Bay, GA. I transferred to Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic in Kings Bay in 1995, where I remained until my separation in 1996. I then went to work for Intervoice as a Software Applications Engineer. In 1999, I was promoted to a mangement position in our Orlando office where I am today.
I was married in 1989 to Jami McNichols, a 1983 graduate of William Blount High School. Our daughter, Olivia, was born in May 1995.
