Life
As of 6/30/07
Having just celebrated my 35th birthday, I can't figure out why my joints are so stiff.
Beyond that.....life is good [except for my rotund figure]. I now live in the Hudson River Valley [two hours north of NYC] in the very rural township of Taghkanic.
My partner of 30 years, Tom Detwiler, and I moved here full time after we "hung up our working shoes," 13 years ago. We stick pretty close to home except for four or five trips a year. Our home is well protected [ha!] by Vanderbilt, the dog. He a 15 year old cairn terrorer[sic] and continues well along his same old ornery, cantankerous and lovable way.

spend a great deal of my time reading, mostly non-fiction. If it's fiction it's usually a novel written before 1930. I seem to have no patience for contemporary fiction. Narrow of me, I admit, but hey...I'm old enough to do what I want. Much of the rest of the time is spent serving on the Boards of too many non-profit groups, mostly historically oriented. I also make time to work with people, ages 15 to 80,with remedial reading.
I'm looking forward to our 50th! Reunion in September of '08 and seeing a lot of you. You'll be sure to recognize me as the bald guy who will come rolling toward you.
