Scott's Story

I don t really remember how people in high school would remember me. At that time, I was a fairly introverted person. At that time, I was more interested in graduating from school and getting out into the world. I wasn' t much into football although I did attend a few games. My interests were in exploring the broader world. In 1984-85, I traveled right around the world on an airline ticket, seeing Europe, Israel, South Africa and the South Pacific. It was the longest time I was away from home. More travels followed in the years ahead. Today, I travel mainly to Montreal(where I was born) and to New York City to see the Yankees shop and to take in the night life. I would be happy to hear from any of my old schoolmates and to learn how they have come along. I always wanted to be a actor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a futile effort idea. As it turns out, they were right. Listen to music. Put on a tuxedo to pose for my high school graduation photos If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have money , food, and personal contacts to be able to deal with the day-to-day. Joe Torre, the manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers who represents a role model for many people Major League Baseball, tabby cats and a beautiful, sexy woman I was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, moved to Texas when I was seven years old with my family, attended school in Ft. Worth and Mineral Wells. Upon graduating from Mineral Wells High, I enrolled at Weatherford Junior College in Weatherford, TX in Arts and Sciences program, receiving an Associate in Arts Degree. Upon graduation from that college, I moved with my mother to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My parents having separated from each other eventually divorced and I elected to live with my mother. By this time, her health was in a declining stage and she having no work skills needed someone to look after her. Besides, she had two sisters of hers who both lived in Calgary and could look after her needs. As for myself, being the young and restless man that I was, I was craving adventure, much like Marco Polo and the western pioneers did by moving back to the country of my birth. This move was the beginning of future travels all over North America and the rest of the world. After four years in Calgary, I was restless once again. This time, my next move was east, first to Europe, which was to be my first international trip. Upon completion of that adventure, I moved to Ottawa, Ontario in eastern Canada where I live today. Ottawa is just a two hour drive from Montreal and where I have a few close friends dating back to childhood. Now, I have come full circle The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Julie Laird, because she was a close friend of my mother s from my early years in Montreal. My family and Julie s were close friends. She was like an aunt to me when I would visiting her as a young boy and my early years in Ottawa. baseball, cats, book...Expand for more
s, computers, bible prophecy Not finding any work I truly enjoy I have no kids. I m single Lon Alexander, who was my American History professor at Weatherford College. He was an inspirational man who thought and spoke freely what he felt, unlike any of my previous teachers. Through him, I learned that it s no crime to speak freely against grievances and it s sometimes necessary to challenge the status quo when it refuses to stand up against injustice. If I won $100 million, I'd give ten per cent of it to charity, then spend the rest on travel , friends and investments. The closet I came to that spartan existence was at a four month stay at a kibbutz in Israel in 1984 I would be happy to spend my most truly happy moments in New York City with a beautiful woman, seeing the sights, going to some fabulous restaurants and dancing at nightclubs. My current age is 55. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be married, working and raising families. I was so completely the opposite. I m tired of my janitorial job. If it s at all possible, I wouldn t mind a home based business, otherwise I would prefer to retire I don t know My best friend would tell you I'm honest, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as indescribable. I still dress in jeans, tee shirts and sweaters when I m working or just relaxing. But I like to dress up in a suit and tie when going to a classy establishtment. I had a job being a gardener while I was on the kibbutz in Israel. My supervisor was an Israeli kibbutznik who gave me all my instructions to me in French when he well understood English. He and I di dn t see eye to eye. I share my home with seven other room mates, which I find reasonably compatible. None Probably live on an island in the South Pacific. In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by hard work and perserverence. My oldest friend, Eric and myself grew up in Pointe Claire , a suburb of Montreal for the first seven years of life before moving to Texas. He and I really clicked paid him a visit when I went to visit him after a sixteen year hiatus. Although he and I are opposites in the vocational sense, Eric and relate to each other in various ways. I would probably surprise everyone at a high school reunion. T date, I haven t gone to any of them because of distance and not having maintained any communication with any older classmates. I would be most curious in seeing my graduating class, seeing how they look and learn what they have done over the years. I m sure they may hold any similar curiosity about me and I would like to learn about the next reunion which I believe is in 2012, the fortieth anniversary of our graduation. My first job was at Buddie s Supermarket, where I got paid $1.60 an hour to pack groceries. What I remember most about it is my supervisor, Dale Baldwin. Going to Martha s Vineyard, Massachusetts with my family for a vacation
