Scott left Long Island in 1977 to attend Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Following graduation, Scott began his first career as a physicist, researcher, innovator, futurist, and inventor at organizations including IBM’s VLSI Laboratory, Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, and Westinghouse’s Advanced Technology Laboratory. Scott also served as an advisor to the Office of the Secretary of Defense on space computing technology planning. Scott holds 15 US patents, has published and presented extensively, and has organized numerous professional conferences and workshops.
Scott is well recognized as a big picture thinker and problem solver. He integrates seemingly disparate concepts and insights into meaningful and practical solutions and contexts.
More recently, Scott began his second career as an author. He wanted to capture and share his thoughts and insights involving the nature of the universe and the puzzling paradoxes of modern science. Through his book, The Unobservable Universe, Scott is preparing the community for the inevitable cultural shift which must occur as we refine our thinking to eliminate paradoxes from our perception of the universe. The Unobservable Universe is his first book.".
