After high school, I went to the University of Iowa and went through their Paramedic program at the School of Medicine. After a short stay around this area working as a paramedic, I moved to St. Petersburg, FL were I went through the Florida State Fire College and became a firefighter. I was hired and assigned to a station right on the beach. I was a firefighter/paramedic for almost 20 years...Expand for more
when I was injured during a fire and was no longer able to do the job. During this time I also worked as an International Flight Paramedic traveling mainly in the Central and South America areas. I also worked as a trauma medic at the regional trauma center. After my injury, I moved back to the Quad Cities and am now part owner of a trucking firm with another graduate from SK/SM. He graduated in 1975.
