Scott's Story

After leaving High School, I really did not know what I wanted to do with my life. After several jobs I came across Emergency Medical Services and became a Paramedic through the University of Iowa. I moved to Florida and became a Paramedic in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area. I went on and became a Firefighter through the Florida Fire Academy. It was the best decision of my life, I loved it. On my days off from the Fire Department, I worked in a Trauma Center and also International Air Ambulance. Then in 1998 I was injured during a fire and it took 2 ½ years to recover but was not able ...Expand for more
to go back into my chosen field. So after that big set back, I moved back to the Quad Cities. I work at Rhythm City Casino in security and attempting to get my Paramedic back, so we can move back to Florida. Well, that is a very brief outline of my life after High School. My wife Suzy and I moved to Greeley, CO where I worked as a Class "A" CDL driver in the oil fields. Its been a great job and we are happy to live by the mountains and about 1 hour north of Denver. Since then, we moved back to Tampa Bay, FL and I am now retired. Love it here, no snow or cold and beaches all over the place
