Scottie's Story
Life:
I did not have the pleasure of graduating with you guys due to family problems and my lack of being able to deal with it correctly at the time. Just wanted to say hey to some old friends. I was in the Navy for 9 1/2 years. I spent 3 1/2 years onboard a submarine stationed out of Holy Loch, Scotland. Then went to Hardhat Dive School and became a Navy Diver. I was stationed at Seal Delivery Vehicle Team 2 in Va. Beach for five years. Honorably Discharged in 1997. We built a successful tree company in Virginia Beach and sold the company in 2000.
I have been married to my wonderful wife Amy forever, (just kidding) for 14 years now and have no kids. We are currently living in a small town in NH where we own our dream log home with awesome three car garage. I quit my quality supervisor position at a local manufacturing company a little while ago to attend school fulltime (better late than never). We will be relocating to the Lexington, KY area hopefully before the snow falls this year. As much as we love our log home, its been hard for a North Carolina boy to live in this chill box they call New Hampshire. :)
February 2006:
Well we have made it to Georgetown, KY just outside of Lexington. This is a beautiful place with all of the horse farms and rolling fields. I am starting my new career in real estate. ...Expand for more
I recently received my real estate license and am looking forward to getting started. If anyone lives in the Lexington KY area, let us know. If you are looking to relocate to Kentucky I can help with that too:)
22 November 2008 Update:
Sorry I missed the class reunion as I would have loved to see everyone. I am sure Margi did a great job with the reunion! I had been very busy with completing my undergraduate degree, finally. Better late than never.:) I graduated in June with a BS in Business Management. I managed to complete my degree with a 3.98 GPA and was a Class Marshall for the graduation. I must say that going back to school as an adult was pretty challenging, but I got a lot out of it. I am starting to look at some MBA programs and trying to decide whether it is worth the time and money at this stage of the game.
I am getting ready to jump back into the workforce and am currently sending out some resumes. Amy (my wife) is still loving her dream job at The U.S. Equestrian Federation. Kentucky continues to be a very nice place for us, but I often think about heading back home to NC. Maybe someday! More later...
Great to see everyone that has stopped by and read my profile. Drop a line if you have time. It is always great to hear how things are going. My email is scottiealley at bellsouth dot net.
