Sean's Story
Life
I grew up and went to school in Boise, Idaho. After graduation (1982), I attended the University of Idaho for a couple of years, where I studied 'Cello Performance and French.
In the mid-to-late 80s, I played keyboards and sang in a couple of Boise bands (Bates Motel and Section 8).
I joined the Army in 1988, where I worked for four years in Military Intelligence as a SIGINT Analyst & Russian Linguist, including one year in Monterey, CA at the Defense Language Institute, and two years at Fort Hood, TX. In 1991-92, I did a stint as a Diplomatic Courier in Helsinki, Finland and Moscow, Russia.
After the Army, I returned to Boise, and once again played keyboards and sang, this time with The Tourists (1992-1997).
I co-hosted a morning drive-time show at a local FM station from 1997-98, also providing voiceover talent and production skills...Expand for more
for commercials and PSAs. From 1998-2001, I worked as an airborne traffic reporter (3,000+ hours as an observer in fixed-wing aircraft).
From 2001 to 2008, I worked at Crucial Technology (later became Lexar Media), a Division of Micron Technology, Inc. I came on board in the call center, and have since worked my way up through Corporate Sales, spent three years as Crucial's Database Marketing Analyst, and two years as a Pricing Analyst. In 2008 I was recruited to work at Micron's main site in Boise, where I now work as a Business Analyst in the Human Resources department.
I married in 1999, and we are the delighted parents of two beautiful girls. We're also raising our grandson, and working to adopt his sister, who is also our foster-daughter. Life is very, very good, and we're enjoying the quiet, suburban life in Nampa, just west of Boise.
