Sean's Story
After high school, I switched college majors a couple times, worked a few jobs, and finally settled on Biomedical Engineering at the University of Iowa in 2002. I got my Bachelor's of Engineering in 2005 and have been working towards a PhD here since then. It's a challenge, not because of the coursework, but because it's requiring me to be a bit more outgoing than I used to be (the few on here...Expand for more
who might remember me will know that's not my style...). Not to mention my adviser is my polar opposite in that regard.
I still get together every few months for the requisite bowling outing or card game with (most of) the high school gang with whom I played hooky. For better or worse, I'm pretty much the same guy from HS, a few lbs heavier and with a slightly nicer car and an apartment...
