Sergio's Story
Life
Since graduating from Irvin I've traveled the world and seen a lot. I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force (USAF) in 1985 and have been stationed in Hawaii, California, Texas and places I can't mention. Also, served proudly in Operation Desert Shield/Storm. During my time in the USAF I earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, from Chapman University, Orange California. I also earned a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University. In 1998 I applied for a commission in the USAF however, they turned me down. der in the U.S. Navy; I'm a Medical Service Corps Officer, specializing in Financial Management. I'm the Comptroller-Inspector on the Navy Medical Inspector General, in Bethesda MD. Since my commission into the Navy, I've served aboard the USNS Hosptial Ship Comfort (during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita), and have been apart of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom (stationed in the Middle East). The Navy has given me lots of additional opportunity to see the world. I truly enjoy what I do and am having a great time! Life is good! I'm married to a great lady and we have 3 wonderful kids.
