Shane's Story
Funny how time passes so fast. Here it is over 40 years since I graduated from IFSS. - but have been back several times over the years.
Moved on to York University in Toronto, met a girl, got married, had 3 kids, got divorced, got remarried to my current wife who had 4 kids.
Worked in many things over the years. - Had my own insurance brokerage, sold vacuums, sold advertisement, sold cartage services, was a Customs Inspector, and now still work for Border Services, but do more development and training.
Have travelled Canada, by Air, Bus, Rail, Car and Bicycle (2 X coast to coast - check out Father and Sons XCanada when we did our second trip on behalf of Prostate Cancer).
Have travelled a lot of the world, - US, Mexico, Caribbean, Germany, Netherlands, India, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, as well as stops in China and Japan.
Life is good, but you have to tak...Expand for more
e it for everything it's got available. I tell my wife now, we are just getting started.... LOL.
Hope you all live to tell remarkable stories to your grandchildren and great grandchildren. (I know... I am starting to tell my granddaughters my stories....)
Like Julia Roberts.... Eat, Pray, Love.... and do MUCH MORE. Never give up.
As I will hit 60 this year I know I am just starting to work through a VERY LONG bucket list, whether it is zip lining in Palawan, swimming in the Golden Temple in Amritsar, dipping my bicycle in the ocean in Main a Dieu in Cape Breton, jet skiing in Bali, climbing Aztec pyramids or driving US #1 along Californian coast or zipping down the autobahn.... ENJOY. These are some of the things I have tried... and I am looking at doing much more.
Share your stories, tell us what came of you since we last threw snowballs (and got the strap)
