Shannon's Story
Life
I am proud to report that I am a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed in October 2006 and spent the winter getting chemotheraphy and undergoing various surgeries. I have officially been in remission since May 2007!
After graduating from Olivet College in 1994, I moved to Chicago in 1995 with one of my sorority sisters. In 1996, I met my husband Ted, who is from Illinois. We were engaged in 1997 and married at St. Margaret's in Otsego in July of 1998.

Chicago area in 2001, thanks to another transfer and promotion with his company. I am the Manager, Global Branding and Marketing for Combined Insurance.
We're "parents" to an extraordinarily spoiled mutt, Wrigley. We enjoy being back in the area, close to friends and family.
College
I graduated from Olivet College in 1994 with a BA in Journalism and a minor in Political Science.
While at Olivet, I pledged to the Soronian Society (Iota Kappa Omicron) and remain active in happenings at the college and in my sorority.
Workplace
I am the Manager, Global Branding and Marketing for Combined Insurance, based in Glenview, Illinois.
