Sharon's Story
Life, where does one begin? At the beginning or the end of the beginning? I will start when I permanatly left Canon City, our quaint litle town we call home. I moved Jan. 23, 1993. When we rolled into Hemet it was flooding, as it is today 17 years later. I missed my friends the day I left, some befoe that. I have since been through some phenominal things. I have 4 beautiful girls 22, 24, 26, and 28, and a step-daughter 28. We have 13 grand kids with 2 on the way. I also have 3 very small dogs and 1 very large bird. I am married to a wonderful man that has been good to me for over 13 years. He currently works in Afghanistan, after 14 months in Iraq. No he is not military, a Vietnam Vet, but now private contractor. I do not like being apart, but he loves what he does so I support him and do not whine or complain.Most of you will remember Keith Yekovich, well after his death I never really knew love again, until I met my husband (Steve). time I lost my identity, due to a relationship some of you might remember. We do not speak of that much, so if you do not know you are not missing anything at all. Well, we are planning a trip to Thailand in April, Steve wants to go there to fish, and he wants me to see the world. I try telling him I see the world every time I look in his eyes, but that is not enough for him. We are working on getting custody of his youngest grandson, he is only 1 1/2, I'll have my work cut out again. I do not mind as I wanted 8, but medical reasons stopped that at 4. I am doing school on line, working on my BA in psychology, I do not work right now. With construction down there just is not much out there for me, and "no" I am not going to Afghanistan. So this is the jist of my life, a happy one for me. I love life, my kids, my husband, and everyone I know. I miss my friends and sure wish I had done more to keep in touch.
