Sharon's Story
Life
I married Scott less than a year out of high school and we've been together ever since.... 11 years total this year. We have two great kids Paige who was born in 1997 and Joshua who came in 2004. We have a chocolate lab named Clyde.
School
We moved every 3 to 4 years it seems until we reached Dundee where I was able to finish out high school without moving. I enjoyed all of the schools I went to except for MLK Middle School. It was a very LARGE school and teachers were afraid of students. It was hard to find substitutes because no one wanted to substitute. I graduated but I could have done better. I met someone and ended up drinking, smoking pot and I picked up smoking. My grades slipped and I still believe had I applied myself instead of skipping and falling asleep in class, I had a decen...Expand for more
t chance at graduating in the top five. I enjoyed learning A LOT, I just took a WRONG TURN!! Hopefully my daughter won't because she is a bright one. Sure I had crushes but no one noticed me because I was "the girl that dated the moon cricket and smelled like cigarettes".. even though I found that a lot of others smoked too.. I had a small group of friends and I keep in touch with them still.
College
I am still determined to attend college though it will more than likely be a community college.. No shame in that. Josh will be in school full time in a few years and then I plan to jump into work/classes. Paige will be able to babysit a bit by then and I can take classes in the evenings. I want to be a Vet Tech and I think that is what I will try for. Dental Hygiene has always interested me too.
