Sharon's Story
I started going to Monsignor O'Brien High School in the first year it started operating as such in 1965. I came from Portage Central High School and had Sister Lawrence as my homeroom teacher. Worked in the library every day and caught up on Current Events going on at the time. Really enjoyed my time at O'Brien High, from there I went to Western Michigan University for a year and a half, then went to work to save up money to finish my education. Ended up getting married, husband in the Air Force, moved out to Rapid City SD for three years...Expand for more
then back to Michigan for the birth of my first son. I had four children whom I raised, all but one graduated from College, two from Western, and youngest son from Michigan State University. Once children were in college, I went to work and got to fly around the country fixing distressed hotels for the VP of Finance in our corporation. Really enjoyed living in many different states in the US, and meeting new people wherever I went. I have three grandchildren, so far; two boys and one girl. Really enjoy spending time with them when I can.
