Sharon's Story

I am retired from teaching students with Learning Disabilities for 10 years. I went back to Ball State to get my new teaching license when I was 50 yrs. old then retired when I was 60. Prior to that I was a teacher asst. in first grade at Eastern Elementary. After marrying Randy, we lived wherever he was in the Air Force, then West Lafayette while he finished school at Purdue, and finally...Expand for more
4 different school systems while he taught and coached football. We had 2 boys and now have 2 grandchildren with 1 on the way. I volunteer as a Kids Hope mentor and take part in church activities at Converse Church of Christ. My mother is 91 now and I spend time with her on a weekly basis. Because I'm back home at Lizton so much now, I have memories galore of past years growing up there.
