Sharon's Story
After high school I moved back to my mom's in Clare, Michigan and met my first husband Jim McLaughlin. We got married in July 1979 and moved to Phoenix in March 1980. In December 1980 our son Jason was born in Tulsa, OK. After Jason was born we came back to Michigan for a short time and then moved to Louisianna. From there we ended back in Clare in time to welcome our daughter Amber in June of 1983. In 1984 we moved to Tampa Florida, then to Nashville, TN. As you can guess all that moving made life hard so I left, moved back to Michigan in 1986 and got a divorce. I started dating my second husband Marty in 1987 and in 1993 we got married. , my daughter lives with me part-time while she attends college. My son and grandson live near Jackson, Michigan. My grandson was born 06/25/2000 and he is my gift for having children. He is very important to me and I make sure he always knows that. I am currently attending Northwood University fulltime. I entered in the fall of 2009 as a junior working on my bachelors degree in Business Administration/Accounting. Currently I am working as a Leasing Consultant for an apartment complex. It is different from the type of work I have done before and much more interesting.
Update: Received my Bachelor's Degree May 2014 and after a 1 week break started working on my Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership. I must be nuts but I really enjoy school.
