Sharon's Story
Life
After graduating from Astronaut, I attended Brevard Community College and Florida State University. I graduated from Florida State with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I worked as an elementary school teacher from 12 years, then moved on to work at a virtual school. I married Peter de Neergaard in 1993. He is from Sweden. I travelled quite a bit around Europe spending most of my time in the United Kingdom and Sweden. College
I attended Florida State University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I have taken some courses towards a masters degree in Environmental Education.
Workplace
I worked as a teacher for the Brevard County School system for twelve years. I presently work at a virtual school as a teacher/consultant to public school children who study at home. I have also worked part-time for eight years as a children's gymnatics instructor and worked part-time for the Brevard Zoo.
