Sharon's Story
Life
It's been a long time and it seems like a lifetime away...
(I wish someone would have told me that the most important things in life would be experienced AFTER high school ---not during!!! ALSO, I wish I had focused more on my studies because that was the only thing that had $$merit after graduation out in the real world!)...
LIFE UPDATE:
****** September 1991-Right after high school, I got saved and then Lord led me into the computer field which I love very much. I attended 3 computer technical schools and then on to college for my BA in Information Technology and Business. The Lord has blessed me to be very successful as an IT Professional over the years!
*****August 2005
I met the man of my dreams *(finally --no more dating jerks)* and married him at the luxurious Venetian Resort Hotel Casino ---which is one of the top 100 hotels in the world---located in the exciting city of Las Vegas. WHY VEGAS? I had been in so many weddings that I wanted something different, exciting and memorable for all who attend and Las Vegas was the place. (PLUS- We wanted to go away but we did not want to leave the US due to the state of the world at the time so
) Vegas is beautiful and fun, even if you are not gamblers because billions of dollars have been invested in making Vegas a place for everyone- ADULTS and KIDS! From world renowned Chefs and fine dining, elegant rooms, spas and breathe taking views, dancing, Broadway worthy shows (you have not lived until you have seen Cirque du Soleils O water show!), site seeing, shopping, the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, helicopter rides at night over the Vegas Strip, experiencing the Vegas Strip in general, death defying rides on top of the Stratosphere, skydiving--- you name, it's...Expand for more
there!!!
34 friends and family members ---and a full wedding party came out to share in this romantic and exciting event! As a gift to all who attended, my husband and I gave each person tickets to experience one of the treasures of Venice by way of a romantic gondola ride along the Grand Canal-- brought to life in the United States at the Venetian with all the glamour and romance of Venice, Italy complete with serenades!
During our stay, we managed to take a day trip to visit LA and Hollywood CA! WOW, I never thought I'd be standing on the corner of Hollywood and Vine!! If anyone of you are movie fans than check out the latest remake of the "Italian Job" which has a mini cooper car chase scene through Hollywood. All the scenes you see as the mini coopers fly be, we either drove by or stood!
We also visited a girlfriend of mine who quit her job as a Philly police officer to pack up and move to Hollywood to be an actress.... her most recent part was in Spider Man II... It was a great time! (just in case you have not figured it outwe are Movie Fanatics!)
****October 2004
I am now a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, MCP and CNE, working for Black and Decker.
***September 2005
I just had our first child. The Lord blessed us with a beautiful baby boy named James. Motherhood is such a blessing!
**January 2006
I am returning to school to continue on this month (after the baby) and I am buying my 4th rental property to keep the money flowing because Day Care is a $$$killer...
*April 2007
I have stepped up and moved on from Black and Decker and accepted an IT position with the Government in the DC\Metro area. (...You know, it is very interesting to work for the Government.)
God bless
