Shawna's Story
I moved to Gresham, Oregon on April 1, 2008 to be with my fiance'. All 4 of my children are grown and graduated from high school. My oldest son is a Sac High graduate class of '02 and my youngest (my only daughter) is in the class of'07! The two middle ones went to Hiram Johnson (Hiram Johnson is a Sac High graduate too). My fiance' is a Sac High graduate of 1974. I am enjoying our weekend drives to different parts of Oregon. My fiance' has never been to the central coast....so that will be a future trip. iting family and going to reunions. I look to the east from where I live and I see Mt. Hood (a volcano), I look to the north and see Mt. St Helens (a blown, yet active volcano). It is so green here, I love it! I just had my first white Christmas! I did all the snow driving (not bad for a native Californian). I like Sacramento, but I love Oregon. I'm finding more and more people from California now living here in Oregon. OPB (Oregon Public Broadcasting) just video-taped me reading one of my grandmother's poems for the 150 year celebration of statehood. Kinda cool for a non-native!
