Shelley's Story
In school I was an outcast (or at least I see it that way) with a very eclectic mix of friends. I was pulled from school under protest by my family who felt I was wasting my time with my education and put me to work in the family store. I ended up completing my high school education in night school.
I moved to Los Angeles, got married and had two incredible daughters with my ex-husband before moving to Seattle. After 11 years there I relocated with my younger daughter to Clearwater, FL. My older daughter stayed in Seattle, has worked in theater ther...Expand for more
e, and currently has her own consulting company. My younger daughter councils people and works in human rights.
I am the Executive Chef and c0-owner of The Scone Age Bakery and Cafe, a multi-award winning bakery and cafe in Dunedin, FL. I co-own it with my husband (poet Larry Jaffe. Google him if you don't know of him).
