Life To all of my classmates and friends throughout life: I have lived all over the world and gone to schools in Europe mostly. I was in the Army from 1984 to 1987 (active duty, stationed at the Presidio of San Francisco), and then in the Army Reserves. I also had a federal career that was from 81 to 83, and then again from 87 to 97, and I retired on federal disability retirement after having worked at the San Francisco VA. I also began collecting Social Security disability (SSA, based on work quarters and Medicare) in 2000. Until 2005, I was 20% disabled through the Veterans' Administration, but in May, 2005, I received a 100% rating through the Veterans' Administration, where I get the DOD card that military retirees get, except I don't receive the Tricare and Delta Dental, but do get dental care at any VA Hospital, and all of the other benefits that retirees get. After certain things that I went through in the Army, I feel like the 100% rating was long overdue. I could easily say, that I feel like I am already a military retiree with the 100% rating, as the benefits are almost all the same. My daughter, Jessica, who is 23, received the ...Expand for more
