Sheri's Story
Life
I've lived in the Barrie area for most of my life. I graduated from Barrie North Collegiate in 1981, from Wilfrid Laurier University in 1992, and finally from Nipissing University in 1995. I am a elementary school teacher and am married with 2 children. My main interests include travelling and photography, either driving around on my 1300 Honda motorcycle (Rocky Mountains and British Columbia, California, PEI and other Maritime provinces), or flying to Europe which is my favourite destination these days.

School for me went by so fast. I mostly remember names of classmates and occasionally I get a chance to meet them again in Barrie, usually because I end up teaching THEIR kids. Teachers who inspired me include Mr. Bray and Mr. Proctor at Maple Grove PS and Mr. Wellenhoffer at Barrie North. I used to say that my grade 8 teacher, Mrs. Jennett, "would roll over in her grave" if she found out I became a grade 8 teacher - and then I met her at Tim Hortons one day! Who knew she was still alive and looking good!?!?!!
