sherrie's Story
I came to Sunland from Michigan at the ge of seven. A classmate from then on in Sunland Elementary School with people I still see on a regular basis. It's great to touch bases with folks that you share history with.
Verdugo Hills High was our "middle school". It was 7th to 12th then. I married in the 12th grade and worked at the Corner variety store at the intersection of Mt Gleason and Summitrose in the afternoons. My first job was ticket taker for Shyann Pony Ride in Sunland Park. I did that from the age of 11 until 15 or so when boys looked better than ponies to me. My vocations have been nursing and hair styling. The latter for over 30 years.

beach for more than 20 years. My indoor hobby is drawing and painting. I have had some artistic success and have sold many of my works.
My first marriage ended after 50 years. My two children also attended Verdugo.At our 49th class reunion a classmate and I "discovered" each other and were married at the 50th reunion in Laughlin. We have had an exciting and interesting 8 years. Working on a ranch in Texas, then at Dallas /Fort Worth Airport, a year in Durango Colorado managing a trout fishing resort at 8200 ft elevation, three years in San luis Obispo near the beach(where gardening took up much of my time) and now in North Las Vegas, has kept me busy between many trips to Mardi Gras and points near and far across the USA.
