Sherry's Story
After reading through this, I just realized that none of my school information is here..... what was I thinking? lol
If I wasn't in school, I was ice skating or roller skating.....first place would be the old Memorial Arena (now the Save-On Center), Victoria Curling Rink....or the new arena in the Esquimalt Mall. It was new back then anyways:).
Skating was a great way to meet "guys"...and to carry on with the friends you already had. I remember "hanging" with my friends at the old "Metropolitan" store...Yates & Douglas.... and cruising Douglas St..... from there it was on to the "Dog and Suds" or the A & W..... To get a really good idea of what it was like in the early 60's, you HAVE to watch "American Graffiti"....there is no other movie on the market that touches this era....including the music:).....at least not that I have seen anyways.

usband (now "ex") and first 2 kids... boy and a girl. I had child #3, a girl, in 1970, after coming back to Victoria.
I retired in 1996, and decided to go back to horse back riding, which I did, until 2000. I had a very bad fall in 2000, which required me to use a wheel chair for 3 months, but once out of that, I did a load of travelling...all across Canada and the US. Had a great time. I continued riding horses until 2006, where it was becoming more difficult as time went on. I think it was getting up at 6am to do it was the problem. I am NOT a morning person, and never have been.
I have found a whole bunch of pictures that I and some friends, took at parties we all attended. I was even smart enough to write theirs names in the photo book, PLUS last names and what year, and where we all were. I THINK:)
