15 May 2009 Wow what a busy year! Chris and I have just completed our 8th move, as an Army Family, to Ft. Benning Georgia. Chris received his wish and is back in the Airborne loop at Benning. He is Operations Sergeant Major at the Headquarters and will take over an Airborne training company in the next few months. I just started working for the National Infantry Foundation at the new National Infantry Museum which opened on June 19, 2009. I will be the Assistant to the Education Director and the Education Specialist in charge of scheduling all the tours for the Museum and giving tours in the Museum and WWII Street. Anyone coming to Columbus Georgia or passing through stop at Fort Benning and Check out the Museum and say hello. The Web site is National Infantry Museum dot com. We still have our fingers crossed we will get a Duty assignment back to Italy or maybe even Hawaii. We enjoyed a six year tour living in Italy and then four years on the Gulf Coast of Florida where Chris was a Ranger School Instructor and Platoon Sgt. Chris has been in the Army for nineteen years and we are looking forward to our last duty station before he hangs up the Jump boots and retires. I taught preschool and pre-K for seventeen years.
