Life
Spent 20 years in the Air Force and retired(served in Panama, Italy, Spain, Texas, Florida, DC, South Carolina). Served in Personnel but was also a Leadership School Instructor before I got commissioned. Continued in Personnel and also served as an Executive Officer, Protocol Officer, Squadron Commander, Computer Instructor. I married a retired Technical Sergeant and have been happily married for over 29 years.
Thanks to his four children, I have 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
School
All I wanted in High School was to be accepted for myself - and to be a writer. Loved Concert Choir and Creative Writing. Loved the dances and winning dancing contests (who else could withstand In-a-godda-da-vita 9 times, hm?) :)
Loved Concert Choir and Mrs. Ellis. Was heartbroken when she died years and years ago. Took lots of French and Spanish (came in handy while in the service). During Business class I had a job at the local bank and that was fun.
High School sweetheart was Carl Morris...but he went Navy and I went Air Force. haha!
I haven't stayed in touch with the class and hope that someone remembers me. Haven't been to any reunions -- yet. Have one more big one so I can try again? But plan to come to a 50th is there is one,

Went to St Leo College through night school while stationed at Homestead AFB, Florida. Worked at the Leadership School during the day and averaged 12 to 15 hours a semester. Graduated 4.0 with a BA in Psych. Did Grad work with Golden Gate University and continued my 4.0 GPA with an MS in Human Resources Mgmt.
Workplace
After I retired from the Air Force in 1992, I spent a few years doing some quiet writing, getting some things published online and learning to do web pages. Developed one of the early role play web sites for writers, where we wrote stories LIVE. That lasted for 6 years.
Became a columnist for an online magazine and eventually their Asst Poetry Editor. That lasted for 5 years. Did more fiction and published more poetry.
Tried new waters as a staff writer (journalist) and photographer for local paper in Mint Hill, NC. That was for 2 years (2003 to 2005). In 2006 took a real job at Maersk (Danish shipping company) as a research analyst. Did that for 120 days for the experience of being back in the real world.
I'll take free lance writing, Alex, for $100 any day.
Military
Joined the Air Force in 1972. Served in Texas, Italy, Florida, DC and South Carolina with TDY duty in Panama, Spain, Italy, Saudi. Did duty as NCO Leadership Instructor at Homestead AFB in 1978 and 1979. After commissioning, went to Bolling in DC where I divorced and married, was a Squadron Commander, an Executive Officer and a Personnel Officer. Then off to Langley and worked at Tactical Air Commmand from 1982 to 1985 where I became an expert in war games and deployments and divorce (again). Left there for Shaw AFB in SC where I was Personnel again, and went to Squadron Officer School and Personnel Chief School. Finally married (this one will stick) to a military man and retired in 1992.
