Shirley's Story
Gosh, so much time has since highschool.
I had a very short list of real friends that I've kept in contact with through the years. Rosemary (Carmack) Jacobs and Karen (Kotels) Maniel are the primary two.
After graduation I worked about a year then left Michigan and moved to Fairbanks, AK. Met and married my husband there. He was in the army and so we ended up leaving. I've lived in California, Texas, North Carolina before we made the mo...Expand for more
ve back to Alaska in 1990. Went back to Fairbanks but have settled in Seward and have been here since 91.
Ed and I have 3 children and now 10 grandchildren. 7 live in AK and the other 3 move around with their parents as my son-in-law is in the Army.
We are still a few years (to many) out from retirement. Due to cost of living, we are going to have to consider leaving this beautiful state and go south. Where is still yet to be determined.
