2009 - Update So far I have had a great life...not always what I planned, but certainly not boring. I'm now in my 4th career and nothing that I would have considered when I graduated from Roosevelt. My first career was in retailing...an assistant buyer for Carson's. The second career was the longest...banking -- sales and product management. My third career (and the preparation for my current one) was working for a training company that specialized in spoken communication. This led to my own consulting business: communications training. Now, I teach at Roosevelt University on a part-time basis: organizational communications and various training and development courses. We live in Ohio so I teach mostly on-line classes with the exception of a five-day intensive each June in Chicago Travel has always been a passion and for many years I traveled with friends to Europe and Asia. My husband is not much of a world traveler so now we usually stay in the US. We have been to Napa Valley several times; we love good wines and discovering new little wineries. I married later in life and we've now been married for over 20 years. I have two step-children who were 20 and 15 years old when we married. The oldest, our daughter, married just a few months before us. She and her husband now live in Florida. The youngest, our son, lived with us during the hectic and stressful years of being a teenager.
