Shirley's Story
When I graduated from Springfield High School, I went to Webber College in Florida. I graduated from there in 1962 getting my Administrative diploma. I worked for awhile in Los Angeles, California as a secretary to couple of lawyers, then went to Iowa and worked for Chevrolet Motor Division, and went into the US Air Force in 1966 and served at Amarillo AFB, Scot AFB and Keesler AFB. dren, 1 boy and 1 girl, and moved to Dallas TX where we lived for several years and I worked for Frito Lay for various vice presidents as administrative assistant. We moved to Kansas City where I worked for Utilicorp United as office manager and retired at age 55. Built a cabin in Arizona and lived in the mountains near Grand Canyon until 2004 when I moved back to Dallas Texas area where I now live with my daughter and grandchildren. I have 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, Elijah born last year.
