Believe it or not I was a teacher for 17 years--special ed, some of it in treatment ...Expand for more
programs. And then I was a certified therapeutic recreation specialist--working with younger adults (18-65), some of them who were my kids who had their heads blown up as gang members. Interwoven was 10 yrs. as a victim advocate--lots of go-outs for homicide, suicide, rape, domestic violence. Sadly, I met some of my spec. ed. kids again as victims or perps. ahh! the wheel goes round. Yes, I'm still a nun! : ) What about you?!
