Stacey's Story
Life
I've always been unconventional and non-conforming and I still have managed to retain a lot of those qualities still! I try to be honest but tactful, truthful, and live my life in a manner that allows me to sleep well at night! Life has been difficult at times, but I believe that eveything that has happened has made me into the person I am now and I'm cool with who and what I am. Been in the Atlanta, GA area since 1988, most of my family has moved here since then.
I've been in the legal field as a paralegal since 1989, but I never took the bar (thinking about it, though!), not the profession I thought I'd end up in but you know how life is! I'm a big fan of music (all kinds) and I harbor secret aspirations of eventually going into radio, which was always my first passion. I suppose I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up! chain for 23 yrs. (1 yr. of married life equals 7 yrs. in the real world, just like a dog!), he's former military (Marines, Semper Fi, baby!), so I got to see some of the crappiest places on the planet courtesy of the government!
Anyway, trying to find out what my place is in the world, enjoying the simple pleasures in life and trying not to sweat the small stuff, I guess just like anyone else...
Military
I was a military wife of a US Marine, we were stationed at:
Camp LeJeune, NC
Camp Pendleton, CA
Guantanamo Bay, Cuba
Parris Island, SC
Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan
Not exactly on Frommer's list of places to see....
Was proud to be a military wife, until you have served or loved someone who has, you have no idea of the sacrifices the servicemen and women make on a daily basis. No matter how you may feel about the current war in Iraq, you've got to support the troops that are there.
