Stacie's Story
Life
After graduation, I tried college for about 6 months or so, then I enlisted in the military. I served for three years, married a fellow soldier and then left the military. The only children I have are three furkids (two S. Huskies and a cat). I work for the County of Riverside as a Adoption Couselor for the county humane society in Thousand Palms.
Military
I enlisted in the US Army in 1989 and went to boot camp in Ft. Jackson, SC. I then took AIT (68L) in Ft. Go...Expand for more
rdon, GA. I was supposed to go to jump school afterwards, but a serious knee surgery kept me out of that, so I was then stationed in Illesheim, Germany. I met my husband in Nuremburg and were friends until the Gulf War in 1990. I was in Saudi from 11/90 to 04/91. I was the only female crewchief in my outfit (repair and maintenance of helicopters) and spent most of my time prepping helicopters (from Hueys to OH58Ds to Cobras and Apaches) for test flights after maintenance.
