Stacy's Story

Life After high school, I attended California University of Pa. Graduated in Dec. 2006. Moved to New York with my College sweetheart. Then I moved to Florida, solo, in 1988 where I had my first son, Ryan....Divorced....back to PA...Moved to Phoenix 1993. Married again in 1994. Stay at home mom had second son, Alan 10/6/95, then had my third son, Bradley on 7/2/99. Got divorced the following year. 2000 moved out, bought my own house, started teaching again and enrolled in Northern Arizona University Graduate School, where I received my Masters in Education and Counseling in December of 2004. I am now a Math and Science teacher. I also teach Graduate and Undergraduate Courses in Education at the local University her in Tempe, Arizona. Lovin Life! My 18 year old has recently moved out on his own. He is into the "this is my life" stage and I'm just layin low and lettin go. He is talking about joining the Marines. I am very proud of him, he is making his own way and learning as he goes. My 12 year old has been playing travel ice hockey for 6 years now. He is an awesome defenseman. Do not get in his way! He also plays pop warner tackle football in the fall and he is now playing lacrosse for his junior high for the winter season. He is on the Principals List with a 3.9 GPA in 7th grade. My 8 year old Bradley is a bruiser! He was the top scorer in his soccer league, he plays offense and defense on his football team. He plays pop warner in the fall and he is playing in a winter league as well. His favorite thing to do is sack the quarterback! He does it well. He is also getting involved in lacrosse this year like his big brother. Bradley is in third grade and also on the Principals List with above a 4.0 GPA. I am very proud of my boys! Believe me, I don't have blinders on, boys are boys, but for the most part, they are really good kids. They are very respectful, great kids and they know what's important! I love them dearly! As for me, I have decided, again, to reenter the dating scene! It is scary out there man! you get to a certain point in life and it just seems too hard to go through all of the relationship building stuff, but hey what's the alternative, right? My boys and I go to San Diego every summer for a few weeks. We also go up north and camp to get out of the freakin heat! I cannot tolerate the 115 degrees anymore!Love to go to Flagstaff in the winter to do the snow thing for awhile! I am going to continue teaching, but am looking more toward the university level as full time and getting into the administrative side as well. My goal is to run the Student Teacher Section of the Education Department. I will love that. I am also looking into opening a Teacher's Store in the East Valley and having someone else manage it for me. would love to hear from some THS Hillers! Reconnect or at the least just find out what's u...Expand for more
p with everyone! Hop you enjoyed reading about a small part of my life and hope to hear from you soon! Take care and Rock on! School You know...I would totally do it again. I really loved high school! You appreciate it more when you look back on it then you do while it's happening. I would do a few things differently though! My BFF definately Jami Hough. We had so many adventures especially our senior year! and we survived! Jamie, if you read this, remember the Golic brothers house parties! OMG...great spaghetti huh? LOL You too Barb Pratt! How bout the covered bridge parties? Were we ever sober? Crushes...I had always had a crush on Doug Caesber since 5th grade until he started dating Karen Ruhl. Then I had the biggest crush on Mike R. Smith #73 on the Trinity Hillers Football team my senior year. Who can forget the short shorts worn by all of the male coaches..especially wrestling Coach Mr. Abajace. You forget? check out'83 yearbook pg 200. What the hell were we all thinking back then!? LOL Bill Ringling sat next to me for 4 years in homeroom, Herr Adams room. I will always remember Bill, he was a good friend. Best of Times! Track and Cross Country. I wasn't the best by any means, but man was it fun! Mr. Chambers used to call Jamie and me Salt and Pepper. WE had so much fun on our Invitationals and meets! I will treasure those moments forever! Mr. Chambers was a great inspiration to me! Sad...never went to a reunion. I helped plan one, but moved prior to the date. Haven't been invited to one since. Don't even know if we've had one. Anyway, High School Rocked!!! College California University of PA Party, Party, Party. Go to 8am class in the same clothes I partied in because I went straight from the frat house to class. and yet I still manaaged to graduate with a 3.89. go figure. Theta Xi Little Sister....Beer bongs....Mad Dog Bongs.....belly shots..... THE LOVE OF MY ENTIRE LIFETIME, RICK JOYCE! HE WILL FOREVER HAVE a HUGE PART OF MY HEART... MEMORABLE: AFTER HE HAD LEFT FOR NEW YORK AND I WAS AT A RUGBY GAME AT CUP. WE HAD BEEN GOING THROUGH A ROUGH PATCH AND I THOUGHT IT WAS OVER.. IT WAS LIKE AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN. HE CAME ALL THE WAY FROM NY WITHOUT ME KNOWING AND CAME WALKING THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE RUGBY FIELD TO GET HIS WOMAN. MY BREATH WAS TAKEN AWAY WHEN I SAW HIM IN DISBELIEF. HE ASKED ME TO COME TO NEW YORK AND MOVE IN WITH HIM BECAUSE HE COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT ME. THAT WAS MAYBE THE MOST ROMANTIC SCENERIO OF MY LIFE! Workplace I worked at Aster Nut company in NJ after college as AP and AR clerk. Moved to FL and began teaching then I ran a day care center there. Teaching, teaching, masters, teaching college level. who knows what else is coming my way! Military my brother was in the Air Force for 10 years and he was stationed in Germany for about 4 of them
