Stacy's Story
Wow, twenty years since high school. After high school, I went to Richard Bland...probably some of the best years..from what I can remember(ha!). I was married from 1995-1997 after which I moved to Kentucky as I figured the state wasn't big enough for both of us; we actually get along quite well now with 600 miles between us. I haven't been back to Hopewell since I left; I bet it's changed a lot. My mother and brother moved to the tidewater area, so I do get back to Virginia about once a year. st eight years clean/sober. Any fellow AA/NA's in the crowd? My step-father passed away in 2005 from cancer. Times like that will challenge you in unimaginable ways. I'm so grateful for the time we had together. I completed my Bachelor degree in 2005 and then my Master of Arts in Education degree in 2006. I now work as an Admissions Coordinator at a drug & alcohol treatment facility, which is far better than being in one!
