Stellita's Story
Hello Classmates!
Actually, I've been trying to search my classmates at Mania Cathedral School in Tayuman. I am completely lost, do i belong to Cass of 1972?
After graduating at the Philippine College of Commerce now PUP (Polytechnic University of the Philippies), I've worked for a few years and by age 21, I got married with my Thai husband. Left Manila for Bangkok in November 1977. I now worked for the United Nations Environment Programme, Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, as Executve Assistant to the UNEP/ROAP Regional Director & Representative for Asia and the Pacific. I've worked for the UN ever since and up until the present.
I have two children - both girls. Ages 30 and 25 years and both graduates of Master's Degrees - University of New South Wale, Sydney, Australia and the youngest at Cass University in London, United Kingdom. The eldest working for her Papa (his own business) while the youngest with Nomura Securities - she is a Trader. I am happily married to a very good/loving Husband.
We still live in Tayuman. My Mommy (who is my Aunty - sister of my fat...Expand for more
her) is still in Tayuman, living with my third brother. The 2nd to me, has been in LA ever since with my mother. I go and visit my family in Tayuman regularly and also in Los Angeles.
I have a good and interesting Job in the UN. All my Regional Directors (RD), are commendable bosses and I love working for each one of them. The RD in my office, changed almost every 4 to 5 years. IMy colleagues are good, caring and fun loving people.
As usual, being a Pilipino, I spent time "Happy Hours" with Pinoy/Pinay(s) friends in the UN - singing Karaoke or eating outside. Bangkok is an easy place to stay. There's always easy access of many thing, from books, foods and shoppings.
My hobby now, I spent my time if not exercising in California Wow, I got for briskwalking. It keeps me fit.
I love travelling aroud the world, it's exciting and adventurous.
I do look forward to getting in touch with all my High School Friends. It's has been a long time - but as the saying goes "it's better to be late than never"!. I will try to catch up with all of you.
