Stephanie's Story
Life
Well I am currently living (and I use that term loosely) in Atlanta from Friday to Sunday of the week and then the rest of the week is spent who knows where when it comes to my job. I am a consultant so I travel Monday to Thursday for work which can get tiring but I love my job.
My sister just had a little boy about 8 months ago and he is very adorable, so I go to visit him as often as possible. Luckily Houston isn't a far trek for me to take with all the frequent flyer miles I accumulate from work and get the chance to visit often.
I just retired from competing in swimming about a year ago and I am enjoying the time that I used to spend training for the past ten years or so. I was lucky enough to make three Paralympic teams while I competed and ended up earning 2 Bronze, 2 Silver, and 1 Gold Medal at my Paralympic Games.
Otherwise I am just relaxing with my dog or jetting around the US to visit friends and family.

Workplace
Work has been great this year so far I love my job and getting to travel all the time has been a lot of fun. I have a lot of friends that I have the opportunity to work with which makes all the difference (especially when you cut out of the office a little early on a Monday to go to a bar and drink for a while instead of finishing up some project you are working on ;) ). In all honesty, I work very hard when I am traveling so when I am at home for a change I get the luxury of not having to put in as many hours and can cut out of the office early. The problem is that I spend 10 to 12 hours working on any day that I am out of town. Its going good for now since I love to travel but I know that I won't be able to take too many years of this job especially with a burnout rate of about 5-7 years in my profession. I hope the next few years go as well as the last.
