Stephanie's Story
Life
Wow... what has happened since high school?? Okay.. here's the whole story..
I was paralyzed half-way through 11th grade, if you remember. (I'm fine now, however... I had a full recovery.) I was forced to do home studies. South basically kicked me out for excessive absence. I started Dekalb college in the fall of 1992, getting a year head start. Then I moved out to Utah to attend Utah State, and got a little sidetracked... I met a guy - John Johnson from Tremonton Utah. We dated for over a year, and then we were married in Logan, Utah in March 1995.
We moved back to Georgia in 1996, and settled in Loganville. We adopted a daughter, and then got pregnant and had 3 more children.
I decided that I wanted to work from home to be with the kids. I was finally able to do that in September 1999. It's been great. It's been over 19 years now, working from home, and I love it.
John and I separated in 2009, and I got remarried to an amazing guy named Jonathan Stovall. I met him while taking some college classes to finish my Biology degree a couple years ago. It was a whirlwind romance. We dated for 1 month and half and were engaged for only 6 days before gettng married. Through Jonathan I inherited 2 more kids, so I'm now up to 6 that ...Expand for more
I can love and nurture. We are currently homesteading and building a permaculture farm in Missouri.
I missed the first class reunion, but definitely plan to attend the next one... I'm just dying to see everyone and how life has changed our paths. I'm excited to network with old friends here and maybe even make new ones. Funny how you remember so many people, but there are so many that silly social divides kept us from really getting to know each other. High school is a funny thing. Too bad we go to high school before we're mature enough to really enjoy it to the fullest. There are so many people I watched from a distance and never said how much I admired them or what their presence meant to me. I guess that's why I registered on this site.. to take a little time here and there and say all the things to all the people I should've said them to back then. I was such a nerd! lol And a total English class freak...lol. (wasn't Mrs. Guy's assistant teacher, Mr. Woodall, cute though???) But at least I can laugh at it now... :-)
I believe in seizing life and making every second count. I believe in having fun and no regrets. I am excited to get to know everyone better and rekindle some great old friendships and create lots of new ones.
