Stephen's Story
Life
I moved my family back from Orlando to PA (Pocono Mtns.) and have exchanged jetBlue for my car to go home on weekends. During the work week, I bunk at my folk's house on LI.
It's not a perfect lifestyle, but it suits me for now and life's too short to not do what you want to do if you can afford to do it.
School
Went all the way through the West Babylon public school system. Forest Ave. Elementary, on to Junior and then Senior High. Pretty much did so anonymously and preferred working during my junior and senior years instead of doing school related things.
College
Earned an Associates Degree from Suffolk County Community Col...Expand for more
lege while working about 30 hours a week to pay for it. Skipped a year to try working at Van Bourgondien's full time, but that didn't work out. Went to Dowling College to get my Bachelor of Business Administration.
Workplace
After college, I worked for my grandparents at their small resort in Catskill, NY for a while. Then I got an entry level position with what was originally Power Test Petroleum and then became Getty Petroleum Corp. From there, I went to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in the real estate department and I've been there ever since.
Military
Never served in our armed forces. Too afraid of friendly fire.
