Entered U.S. Army 4/84; basic training, AIT, permanent duty all at Ft. Sill, Okla.; MOS 13F, Field Artillery Forward Observer
End of Army enlistment 4/86, moved to Nacogdoches, TX; worked as security guard and convenience store clerk; attended Stephen F.Austin St. briefly, political science major
Moved to Wilmington, NC (on coast) 10/87, worked as meatcutter and commercial fisherman
Entered U.S. Marine Corps 12/88, boot camp at Parris Island, SC; advanced combat training at Camp Lejeune, NC; MOS school (5929, HAWK AA Missile Launcher Electronics Tech) and permanent station at US Army Missile, Munitions Center and School, Redstone Arsenal (Huntsville), Ala.

Moved to Everett, Washington (Seattle) 8/90; worked as night manager of hardware store, married 3/91 (Met my first wife while in Ala. during USMC years; she later came up to Wa. St. where I had moved)
Moved to Town Creek, Alabama 8/91 after wife got homesick; worked as supervisor of a sawmill, divorced 9/94
Left AL 9/95; moved to Dayton, Tenn., worked as machine operator in manufacturing plant and ran a snack food vending route until 7/97; working as quality assurance technician in an engineered wood (OSB) mill from 9/97 until present, after achieving ASQ certification
Remarried 1/00 (Laura Woodward Long)
Entered Christian Life School of Theology, Columbus, GA (homestudy program) 3/00
Received Associate of Theology degree 9/01
Our son, David Woodward, born 10/01
I plan to earn a doctorate in theology in approximately six years; Laura and I intend to buy a house in the Chattanooga, TN area soon. Events since high school have been unexpected!
