Steve's Story
Life
When I turned 18 I dropped out of High School to join the Army with two of my friends. But that's when things changed for me - no it wasn't the Military - it was Jesus Christ. On July 5, 1977 I received Christ as my Savior and my life did a 180. When I got out of the military I went to a Bible College in Grand Junction, CO., and met my wife of nearly 27 years there. We have 5 beautiful children - 4 boys and a girl (who is the youngest and just graduated from High School). None are married, so there aren't any grandchildren yet. can't wait till I can play with my grandkids. I love my wife and kids and I know I'll love my grandkids too.
For much of my life to this point I've been a business owner - service industries and contracting - but I finally put my Bible College to work when I became the pastor of a new church plant in Conway, Washington in April of 2001. I'm currently taking a year off to finish my ministerial degree and then I'll be looking for another church to pastor or plant.
As you can imagine, I'm not the person you might have remembered, and for that, we can both be glad.
