Steve's Story
Workplace
Way back in 69 I had what seemed like the greatest job in the world. Working the canteen at Merivale Arena in the winters and the cash for Rollerskating in the summers. Ah well, all good things end and I finished at Confed.
I started at Bell right after Graduation. I remember arguing with my mom about having a summer vacation but now that I was finished school she was charging rent. Off to work I went.
I had various functions at Bell starting with the mail room, then repairing and installing phone lines. You really met a wide variety of people when you visit them in their own enviroment.
I spent nost of time in Customer Sevice roles or supportin...Expand for more

Finished my career at Bell after 25 years and built a get away near Sharbot Lake.
Then the ice storm hit and I went back to Bell on a one year stint that stretched into another 5 years with Sympatico.
It looks like I am finaly retiring for good and maybe I'll finaly get that summer vacation that I was looking for back in 73.
Its a shame how we loose track of people. I see names and remember faces of friends that I new at Meadowlands, Sir Winny and Confed. By the time we graduated we had spent almost half of our lives with each other and we never kept in touch.
Quite a loss when you think of it.
