After graduating VHS in '73, I attended FSU for a year. After an internship at the Center for Naval Analysis in Rosslyn, Va (near Washington, DC) as a research asst, I accepted a full time position in systems engineering operations research analysis , attending George Washington University continuing at CNA as they paid my tuition there. In '77. I then "joined" the Navy and was assigned to the NESTED/ Naval Electronic Systems Command ( later renamed the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command or SPAWAR. In chronological order after the Navy: G.E.( jet engine factory automation systems) , then analyst at Westinghouse Defense and Electronics Center, now Northrop Grumman Aerospace, attending John Hopkins University.
