Its been quite a journey since graduation. In the early 80's I moved to the Chicago suburb of Lombard to go to Devry, what a waste of time and money that was. On the bright side I met my wife there. After we were married we lived in Naperville, IL. (western Chicago suburb) where I continued to work as a Mechanic. I got tired go the grease, so we sold our home in Naperville and moved to Normal, IL. (my wife's hometown) and I went back to school at Illinois State University. I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice Science. Before graduation I was hired by the Springfield IL. Police Department on July 15, 1991. I went to the Illinois State Police Academy for my basic training. I graduated from the academy as class 400-34 Valedictorian. I had a great career at SPD. I started out in Patrol like all Rookies do. After working the streets, I was promoted to Detective. I spent my time as Detective assigned to the Drug Enforcement Administration as a Task Force Agent. I enjoyed my time for the 4 years I was with the DEA.
