Steve's Story
Life
I attended Kenilworth Elementary School in Bowie, Maryland for 1st and 2nd grade and Kellond Elementary in Tucson, Arizona for 3rd thru 6th grade. After that, Fickett Jr. High until the middle of 8th grade. In early 1973 I moved to Annapolis, Maryland and graduated from Annapolis Senior High in 1977. After 2 years at a local community college I went to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, AZ and Daytona Beach, FL.

in Norfolk, VA flying the E-2C Hawkeye off the USS Forrestal. I did 7 years active duty in the Navy then got out and became an airline pilot with USAirways in 1989. After 13-plus turbulent years with that airline I was furloughed and subsequently got on with AirTran Airways in June 2003. I'm currently a 737 Captain based in Atlanta. I remained in the Navy Reserves after active duty and flew the C-130 out of Andrews AFB and attained the rank of Commander (O-5).
As of July '07 I've been married 5 years, and now have two girls ages 5 and 2 and we live in Annapolis, MD.
