Steve's Story

Like many of you I'm sure, my life has changed drastically since graduating from CHS. After high school, I bounced around from college to college, trying to figure out what I wanted to do in life. I eventually ended up moving to Indianapolis, becoming an EMT, going back to school, working in a hospital, and moving into the I.T. field as a System Support Specialist (still at the hospital). While in Indy, I got married and, a year and a half later my daughter was born. In 1999, my family and I moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to be closer to my wife's parents. At the end of 2000, however, my wife and I separated and divorced. I'm still living in Milwaukee, and I absolutely love it here (though I coul...Expand for more
d do without the winters). I currently work for a large hospital network as a Senior System Administrator, managing the organizations' electronic patient record systems. It's a far cry from where I started in health care as an EMT, but I like to think that I still have a valuable contribution to patient care. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I'm an avid (yet amateur) cook, love the outdoors (especially here in the summer on the lake front), going to concerts, sporting events, etc... I'm also very active in the LGBT community volunteering for various events and fundraisers. I'm on here hoping to reconnect with some old friends and strike up a conversation or two.
