Steve's Story

As a VISTA (Volunteer in Service to America), brought BINGO! to the Shoshone-Bannock Indians. 1981 Idaho VISTA of the year. Went to sea as a naval officer. I drove the same ship to the Persian Gulf for what proved to be my second war, having served as an enlisted man on a cruiser immediately after CVHS. Served as the Executive Officer of a minesweeper when the peace dividend washed me ashore. Worked as a political fundraiser and quit that gig when my boss was indicted. Winner of the 1994 Mexican Open. Ended up at the Viejas Casino in San Diego where, after a dozen years and only one employee of the year award, I woke up one day as the Director of Slot Operations. Retired 2015. Embarked on writing a trio of novels set in Idaho during the 1870's. My goal is to create the great American Redskin Hero. Tonto, Billy Jack and Geronimo really aren't all that heroic.
