Steven's Story
Now I am an Executive Chef in an impressive fine dining restaurant, banquet and convention center in Northern Illinois. Not a celebrity chef. Just when I have to be. Been pulling it off for 30 years. Over 40 years ago when I made my committment to this profession I hadn't the faintest idea that a chef would become as worshipped as he or she is now. Well that's my bad. Anyone who knew me from 66'-70' in high school, I thought considered me a ne'er do well and a whacked out, drug induced screw-up (the drugs came about later in the military.). That may still be the case, yet I have survived all of these years and have produced and raised kids. So the way I see it...I coulda done it easier but I still got it done!
